How To Apply For A Sweden Work VisaÂ
- Â It is important that you have applied and been granted a work permit before entering Sweden. To be able to get a work permit, you must have employment in Sweden and you will need to submit your employment contract with your application.
- The work permit process and application must have been initiated by your employer in the country. Your employer will need to provide information such as your name, date of birth, education, email address and citizenship. You need to make sure that you have access to the email address that has been provided to your employer until you get a decision about your application.
 Documents Needed For Your Sweden Work PermitÂ
- You will need copies of the pages in your passport which will show your personal information such as your photograph, passport number, the passports period of validity, barcode on the identification page, signature, passport issuing country and also whether you have permission to live in countries other than your home country.
- Your employment contractÂ
 It is essential that you extend your passport if it’s about to expire because you will not be able to get a permit that is longer than the validity of your passport.
Documents Needed If You Are Moving To Sweden With Your FamilyÂ
- You will need to submit copies of your marriage certificate or the equivalent if you are common-law partners.
- Proof showing that you have lived together in your own countryÂ
- Â Copies of the pages of their passports which should show their personal information such as signature, passport issuing country, photograph, passport number, passport validity, whether they have permission to live in other countries apart from their home country, and barcode on the identification page.
- Birth certificate of your childrenÂ
- If the child was adopted you will need to provide adoption papersÂ
- Consent from the other parent if they are not coming to SwedenÂ

- Â The work permits will cost you SEK 2200
- The EU blue card, ICT permit, and Seasonal work cost SEK 2000
- Extension of work permit cost SEK 2200Â
- And residence permit for highly qualified persons to look for work or is to start a business cost SEK 2200
