Visa Denied? 6 Reasons That Can Happen And How To Prevent It

-

You don’t want your visa denied? Here are reasons it might If you’re trying to japa out of the country, a process that you cannot avoid is the visa application process. This process stresses out a lot of people because of the chance of embassies rejecting their visas. It can be a lot of stress and anxiety to deal with wondering if you’re doing all of the right things and how to prevent your visa from getting denied.

I’ve heard stories of two friends going for visa interviews and one of them getting approval and the other friend getting denied. Sometimes it seems like it’s the most vehicle things that get people disqualified and gets their visas denied.

Embassies and countries usually deny visas if they are not quite sure about your intentions and if your presence in their country is going to be a good investment for the country. Your visa getting denied can definitely be a sad situation and before you can apply again, can break your heart and dash your hopes of being able to travel out of the country.

It doesn’t have to be all bad though and there are ways that you can mitigate or prevent this from happening and ensure that your visa doesn’t get denied.

Reasons Why Your Visa Might Get Denied

1. You Do Not Have the Required Documents For Travel.

Depending on where you’re travelling to, and your purpose for travelling, the documents that will be required of you might be different. Take for instance if you are travelling out of the country for education, one of the documents you might be required to bring are your transcripts and grade.

If you’re travelling for business, the requirements are also different but all that matters here is that you have done your research and know all the necessary documents you are supposed to have and that said documents are all in good order. If you submit fake documents like fake your proof of income, proof of employment, and bank statements, and all of these are discovered, it is more than enough to get your visa denied with sometimes stiffer penalties.

2. You Are A Health Risk

The other day we wrote an article about all the necessary vaccines that you ought to take as you plan to travel out of the country. One of the reasons why you might have your visa denied is if they feel you pose a health risk and you might have infectious diseases that can spread and harm their citizens. We can all remember how it went down during the Covid 19 peak season.  You could also be denied if they feel that your health will put a strain on the public health system. You need to ensure that your vaccines are up to date and you have all the necessary vaccine certificates to back this up.

3. Insufficient Funds

It is quite possible that your visa will get rejected if they can see that you do not have sufficient funds to be able to support and fend for yourself and your dependents. Whether you’re travelling with your family or not, whether you are going to study, whether you got a new job, or you are just relocating entirely, you will need to provide proof of funds that you are capable of funding and looking after yourself and your dependant.

4. Poor Visa Interview

As we discussed in this article, one of the steps you cannot avoid in your visa-processing journey is the visa interview. Your visa interview plays quite an important role in your japa journey and will determine whether or not you are going to have a successful application. Having a poor visa interview and not making the right impression on your interviewer is enough to get your visa denied. If in the course of the interview, the interviewer deems that you are an unfit candidate for their country and you are not able to communicate properly, your visa might get denied.

5. Discrepancies In Information Provided And Interview Answers

You need to ensure that you know the content of your documents and understand the most essential information about your true plan yourself. You need to ensure that the information provided is consistent, accurate and truthful. If during your interview you are asked questions and your answers do not match what is in the documents submitted, it is enough to get your visa denied. Be truthful and honest in the entire process because if your duplicity is found out at any point, apart from getting your visa denied, it is also enough to get you sanctioned or banned from travelling to certain countries for a while or forever.

6. Wrong Visa Application For Wrong Purpose Of Travel

It needs to reiterate that it pays to be honest in your application process. If you are going for a leisure trip, you apply for a tourist visa and if you’re going for a work trip, you apply for a work visa. You need to ensure that you are applying for the proper visa so as not to give the idea that once you get into the country you will not want to return to your home country. The country will not want to worry about you and your reasons for wanting to go to the country so it is important that you get the correct documents for the proper purpose.
