Greece is a popular vacation spot but what if you could live there for at least 1 year and with a chance to renew your visa after said 1 year?

Hey! If you’re a digital nomad then this is for you because the Greece digital nomad visa is now available for all digital nomads. With this Visa, you can stay in Greece for 1 year enjoying all of the goodies that the country has to offer.

Cost Of The Visa

It will cost you a €75 application fee and a €150 administration fee. 

Cost Of Living

Greece is one of the cheapest European countries to leave and rental prices go from 400 Euros to 700 Euros and you can’t even find for less and as cheap as 200 euros outside the city centres for a one-bedroom apartment, transportation is less than 5 euros and same goes for gas and food is also affordable.

Taxes

The good news is if you’re spending less than 6 months in Grace as a digital nomad you will not need to pay taxes although after 6 months you start to pay taxes. The Greek government has also made it easier that as a digital nomad, half of your monthly income is not subject to taxes and this applies for your first 7 years in the country.

Greece as a country has a good internet connection, the weather is amazing, it’s a mostly slave country with a low crime rate, and you also get to enjoy low taxes, beautiful sceneries and amazing culture.

Visa Processing Time

The processing time for the Greece digital nomad visa is usually between two weeks to a month.

Application Process For The Greece Digital Nomad Visa

  • Set an appointment at the Greek Embassy 
  • Submission of your digital nomad visa application which you will need to submit in person with your completed document on the date of your appointment 
  •  Residency permits registration in Greece. This will be done once you have gained access to Greece. You will register at the nearest aliens and immigration department of the decentralised administration office to do this you will need to have your residence agreement, visa, passport, and booking confirmation of residential lease.

Documentations Required For The Digital Nomad Visa For Greece 

  •  Application form 
  •  Cover letter declaring your intention for wanting to stay in Grace which would contain information about your job, information about the visa that you are applying for, you also need to state that you are capable of taking care of yourself financially while in Greece, the company will be working for outside Greece
  • Your valid travel passport that has at least 6 months validity after your return date and must also contain two blank pages
  • Clean bill of health with a medical certificate to prove this. 
  • Income proof
  • Proof of employment
  • Clean criminal records
  • Health insurance
  • Proof that you work remotely
  • Flight ticket back to your country
  • Proof of a Greece accommodation

Eligibility Criteria For The Greece Digital Nomad Visa

  • A monthly salary of at least €3500
  • Proof that you are a digital nomad and you work remotely 
  • An employment contract with the company outside Greece
  • You must be a non-EU citizen

Can I Relocate With My Family?

The Greece digital nomad visa allows you to relocate with your family and you can relocate with children under the age of 18, children over the age of 18 who are dependent on you due to financial or medical reasons and your spouse.

The visa can be renewed every 2 years if you are still eligible to apply
