Canadian Updated Trades List: All The Information You Need

The Trades List has been updated by the Canadian government. As of Friday the 8th of September, the IRCC for the Canadian government has updated and added to the list of trade occupations for eligibility for Express Entry certificates of qualification. This trades list now has a total of 101 occupations.

You do not need previous work experience for any of these jobs, all you need is a certificate of qualification. Isn’t that amazing?

This certificate of qualification adds 50 CRS points to your express ranking profile and another good thing is you also do not need a job offer from an employer in Canada to get these points. 

 As soon as you are skilled enough in any of the trades on the trades list, you write and pass an examination to get a certificate of qualification from one of the Canadian provinces.

What is a Certificate of  Qualification?

If you are wondering what a certificate of qualification is,

It is a document that shows and proves that an individual is qualified to work in a particular skilled trade, what this means is that they have passed a certification exam and met all requirements to practice their trade in that province or territory and to get it in Canada differs from province to province;
