Mr Sunday Bitrus, President of Zumunta Association USA and a proud indigene of Nasarawa State expressed his deep commitment to giving back to his community. He emphasized that the scholarship initiative is rooted in economic empowerment and remains free from political, ethnic, or religious bias.

Prominent dignitaries attended the launch, including Mr Emmanuel Yona, the Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Women Affairs and Humanitarian Services. Also present was Mr Abiodun Akanbi, Head of Programme Development, who also represented NIDCOM Chairman Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who commended the initiative in his speech. He highlighted how the program harnesses opportunities in entrepreneurship and education, fostering sustainable development while promoting volunteerism and community impact.

The scholarship program is designed to alleviate the financial burden on students, enabling them to focus on their studies and contribute meaningfully to society. By investing in education, Zumunta Association USA aims to nurture future professionals who will drive progress in Nigeria.

A total of 56 students from various Nigerian universities studying Computer Science, Engineering, and Medicine, each received a scholarship grant of ₦60,000. This initiative underscores Zumunta Association USA’s dedication to fostering education and empowering the next generation. The program reflects a broader commitment to ensuring that talented students, regardless of background, have access to the resources they need to succeed.
