Women need all the help they can get to be able to get a seat at the table and scholarships and fellowships do help a long way in opening doors and paving the way.
In Afghanistan, the Taliban has banned women from universities. As reported by the BBC the higher education minister announced the regression on Tuesday, saying it will take effect immediately. This ban further restricts women’s education, already girls have been excluded from secondary schools since the Taliban returned last year.
Women are severely disadvantaged and just because of their gender miss out on opportunities for many things. This is why a lot of organisations, institutions and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) create opportunities to bridge the gap and help women have better opportunities in life and also lead better lives. To aid this, we will talk about 5 scholarships for women.
