The EU Seasonal Workers directive is made to complement the EU Blue Card and both cards allow foreign citizens going into the EU to seek employment. Both the EU Seasonal Workers permit and the EU Blue Card can be gotten through a single permit procedure.
The major difference between the EU Blue Card and the EU Seasonal Workers permit is that the EU Blue Card is granted to qualified professionals while seasonal workers do not need university qualifications. Eligibility For A Seasonal Work Permit In The European Union
Citizens from third world countries who live in a third world country and stay legally for a temporary period of time in the European Union member states for the sole purpose of doing activities that are dependant on the passing of seasons are the ones for the seasonal jobs.

Seasonal Worker Visa Requirements
Application form
Seasonal worker permit application form fully completed with the required information and data
Passport
The passport you are applying with must have at least two blank pages, have been issued to you within the last 10 years and must also remain valid for at least three months after your intended departure date from the European Union.
Copies of Passport pages
You will need to make copies of your passport pages with your personal information and signatures and also pages that carry previous visas.
Two passport-size pictures
Your passport must contain recently taken photos and must also be in accordance with the ICAO standards
Job offer or work contract
You must have proof of a job offer or work contract and this document must have the duration of the work contract, your offer and your annual income.
Letter from employer
Your employer must be able to explain why you were hired and also to show proof that the job couldn’t have been done by an EU national. It must also show that your employer will be held responsible and is going to cover any cost if you overstay in the country.
Application fee
One of the requirements for a seasonal worker is proof of payment for the application fee
Health insurance
One of the requirements that you will need as a seasonal worker is health insurance. It is important that you get one so that you are able to care for your health.
Police report
You will need a police certificate from your country of residence that shows that you are not a threat to the economy, public policy health of the EU country and also security. You must have no criminal records and must be a law-abiding citizen.
Proof of fund
Yet another requirement for a seasonal worker is proof of funds. They want to know that you will be able to sustain yourself and care for yourself during your stay in the country

Other Information To Note
Changing jobs
You only get a chance to change jobs just once with your seasonal work permit and this is usually allowed because sometimes the working conditions of some of these jobs that the seasonal workers do can be very arduous and so if the working conditions are not conducive the worker is allowed to change.
Duration of the work permits
Regulated by the member states, you can change depending on the type of work you do, the duration of the seasonal visa is dependent on that although the maximum stay of the seasonal work permit is between 5 months and not more than 9 months.
Processing time
The processing time for the seasonal work permit will not take more than 90 days after the dates you submitted the application
Seasonal work permits extension
If you’re in the European Union, you can apply for a renewal or extension of your work permits and at most not be more than one year.
Family
People on the seasonal worker permit are not allowed the chance of bringing their family with them or reuniting the family while they are in the European Union. Your family is not allowed relocation with you on this visa.
