Different universities in Canada have what sets them apart from others and different schools have different requirements for admission, some require application fees, and others require TOEFL, SAT and IELTS. University of Toronto 

With notable alumni like Margaret Atwood, Norman Jewison, John John McCrae, five prime ministers of Canada, 17 justices of the supreme court of Canada, 9 foreign leaders and 3 governor generals of Canada. The University of Toronto is a public research university in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and one of the top Universities in Canada. This University is one of the top public universities in Toronto, it actually ranks 34 in university rankings. It is located on the grounds that surround Queen’s park, Founded in 1827 as king’s college. Offering over 700 undergraduate and 200 graduate programs, it consistently ranks in the top 10 public universities in the world.

University of Alberta

This is a public research university, that is one of the top five universities in Canada and is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This University was founded in 1908 and has a reputation for excellence across the sciences, humanities, engineering, health sciences, creative arts and business. It was founded in 1915 and aims to inspire people, ideas and actions for a better world. The University of British Columbia has two major campuses that are located in Vancouver and Okanagan. With over 60, 000 graduate students and undergraduate students, there are endless choices for learners at different stages of their careers. According to the University of British Columbia website you are to pay a non-refundable application fee that is valid for only one year.

 UBC also provides scholarships for international students.

Concordia University 

Founded in 1974 after the merger of Loyola college and sir George Williams University, Concordia University is located in the Cosmopolitan City of  Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Concordia University offers over 200 graduate programs and more than 100 undergraduate programs. It is one of the three universities in Quebec where English is the primary language of instruction. McGill University

The University of Winnipeg

Also a public research university in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with foundation colleges Manitoba college 1871 and Wesley college 1888 which merged to form the United college in 1938. The University of Winnipeg received its charter in 1967. This university offers over 800 courses and more than 40 subject areas from indigenous governance to women’s studies. It is home to over 9,300 full-time and part-time students. The university offers degrees in business and economics arts kinesiology, education and also graduate studies. There is a non-refundable application fee that is required when you are applying.
