The other day on the website, we talked about tips for an amazing digital nomad lifestyle but did you know that there’s a thing called a digital nomad visa? This visa has so many benefits and makes life easy for a digital nomad travelling to specific countries that give a digital nomad visa.
As you might know, there are different types of visas for different occasions and different reasons.
A lot of digital nomads work with tourist visas which is technically illegal and that is why a lot of countries have created digital nomad visas although some of these countries do not call it the digital nomad visa but create fancy and unique names for it. Employers can even register digital nomad visas for their employees and this can be such a relief.
 Due to the occurrence of covid-19, a lot of companies have either started a hybrid work situation or gone fully remote and this has allowed a lot of people to be able to travel while still being able to work.
The digital nomad visa also helps with the country’s tourism as this will bring people from all over the world to enjoy the beauty and tourist spots of the visited country and help generate revenue for the country.
The digital nomad visa is also being created by different countries because it would help the government generate revenue and these revenues come from visa application fees for countries that take it, and also countries that ask for tax.
And digital nomad visa gives you protection and allows you to work remotely from any foreign country.

The visa allows you to stay in Portugal for at least one year and you can reapply.

A real haven for digital nomads, Croatia’s digital nomad visa allows you to be able to work in Croatia for at most a year and you can also reapply for the visa. Some of the eligibility criteria are an individual that is earning at least $2,431, and at least $87 to $141 for the cost of the visa application.

EstoniaÂ
Did you know that Estonia is actually the first country in the world to have an official digital nomad visa? This was created in 2020 and is valid for 1 year. Estonia digital nomad visa allows freelancers and people who work remotes who have decided to become a digital number to be able to work in the country. The application for the digital nomad resolve Estonia will cost you about $87 to $108 and your monthly income proof must be at least $3,817.
- GermanyÂ
 The German digital nomad visa has a validity period of as much as 3 years. It can be quite stressful to obtain the visa but once you do it’s good. The visa for Germany is actually called Aufenthaltserlaubnis für selbständige Tätigkeit.Â
- SeychellesÂ
Called the Seychelles Location Program, this visa allows digital moments to be able to work from any of the 115 islands that make up the archipelago for at least a month and at most a year. The eligibility criteria for the visa include income proof, proof of employment, Your travel insurance policy, and also a valid passport. The cost of the visa application is $49.
- MontserratÂ
A beautiful country in the Caribbean, Montserrat with its rich history is a perfect digital nomad haven. Some of the eligibility criteria for a Montserrat work visa include; Your valid travel health insurance, at least a record, proof that you are employed, proof of an annual income of at least $70,000, and your passport.

 Allowing you to be able to leave our work in the country for at least a year, the Mauritius premium travel visa is completely free.
Some of the eligibility criteria to be able to live and work in Mauritius as a digital nomad include a valid passport, travel and health insurance, and proof of a monthly income of at least $1,500.
