Let’s talk about The Netherlands Scholarships but before we get to that let’s talk a little about The Netherlands’ rich culture. There is something about the culture that draws you and if you are one who enjoys all that has to do with culture, and enjoy visiting historical places and experiencing things that have come before you then the Netherlands will be perfect for you.
Popular for so many things, a few of which I’m going to talk about in this article apart from the scholarship, one of which is the Vincent van Gogh museum. The Netherlands is famous for being the home country of this well-known painter. He was born in 1853 and used to be an art dealer, preacher and teacher. Van Gogh struggled with his mental health, leading him to commit suicide in 1890 by shooting himself in the chest. But before he did die he managed to paint jaw-dropping masterpieces that years after are still popular and even people who are not art enthusiasts have heard about Van Gogh.
You’ll find museums and galleries in the Netherlands displaying his works and the largest Van Gogh museum can also be found in Amsterdam.
Also popular in Amsterdam is Anne Frank’s Annexe Museum where you can see where she hid from the Nazis which she wrote about in her diary and also said diary has now been published in about 70 languages. You can also see the canals and experience the cultural life and also cycle around Amsterdam. Amsterdam alone has over a million people and half of them are actually non-native to the Netherlands. In 2019 alone, 19 million people visited Amsterdam.
Also in the Netherlands, you get to experience amazing views, you can go on a craft beer tour and if you enjoy cycling then you will also enjoy Amsterdam because the city centre has banned cars and also because The Netherlands is a flat country it is really good for biking and cycling. The city of Utrecht is also home to one of the Netherlands’ oldest universities, so if you enjoy nightlife you’re definitely going to get it here.
Did you know that, unlike the rest of the world, only 1% of Dutch people suffer from lactose intolerance? The Netherlands are known for their love of cheese, and they even have a certain peanut butter called the Pindakaas that is very cheesy and translates to “peanut cheese.”
The Netherlands are also known as the world’s tallest people as the average height for a man is 182.9 cm and for a woman 169.3 cm. There is so much richness to the culture and people of the Netherlands If all of the sounds like a place you might want to live, take a vacation or get an education from the university, then here are scholarships that can afford you the opportunity to study in the Netherlands
