How To Apply For Japan Tourist Visa Easily

Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Brunei (visa exemption for up to 15 days), Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Macau, Mauritius, Mexico, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, South Korea, Singapore, Slovakia, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Uruguay can visit Japan without a visa for up to 90 days.

Visa Application Process For Japan Tourist Visa 

• The visa application is not an online application
• Ready all your required documents to be submitted at the Embassy of Japan in Abuja and this must be done in person 
• Book an appointment for your visa application as a visit to the consular section or only by appointment  via email 
• Applicants will then be notified of the decision by the embassy

How To Book An Appointment For A Japan Tourist Visa Application

• First, it is important to get all the required documents ready 
• Once you have the required document you are then to send an email to visanigeria@la.mofa.go.jp
• In the body of your email, you are to include

*Visa applicant name

*The purpose of your visit to Japan and in this instance, you will put the option d which is tourism

* how long you Will be in Japan for

*Planned departure date

*at least 3 possible dates and time slots for your visa application appointment

*Your phone number

*Your name

Once this is done and your appointment has been fixed you will receive a confirmation email

 Criteria For A Japan Tourist Visa 

 You will need a valid international passport 

You must have all your necessary documents and ensure that the documents are authentic and complete

Passport Collection Requirements For A Japan Visa Applicant 

•  You need to provide your visa application receipt 
•  Photocopy and original valid photo ID which could be your driver’s licence, NIN slip, etc. Only government-approved identification.
• Email notification for passport collection printout
• Visa fee

If a previous visa application was rejected, you will not be able to apply for another visa until after 6 months.

Documents Required For The Japan Tourist Visa Application 

You will need

• A valid international passport with at least one blank page
• Your visa application form
• One recent photograph of you with the dimensions 45 mm X 35mm, White background and taken within the last 6 months
• Proof of accommodation in hotel reservation
• Proof of flight itinerary which is a flight reservation slip
• 3 months’ personal bank statements
• Proof of employment
• Letter of introduction from your employer stating the purpose of your travel and how long you be gone for
